What to do if you get DEF in your fuel
IF YOU GET DEF IN YOUR FUEL! Do this immediately: 1. Do NOT cycle the key 2. Do NOT crank 3. Drain the fuel tank completely 4. Flush the tank 5. Replace fuel filters 6. Refill with clean diesel In many cases, you save the system if it never primed. If the key was turned on or the engine ran, DEF likely entered the system.
